Conditions of entry:
Any university using the Banco Santander USC, be it issued exclusively through the Banco Santander or jointly with USCs of other entities, is eligible for entry.
Only projects finished before March 1st 2017 will be eligible.
2. How to enter
Competitors must register the project through the web page of the USC International Observatory website designed for this purpose and fill in the entry form. The form allows for the inclusion of attached files and graphic materials to support the exhibition of the project. The organizers of the competition may use the information provided on registration to request clarifications from the participating university.
3. Registration period
The deadline for registration is March 1st 2017.
4. Panel of judges
The panel of judges will be made up by staff of the University Smart Card International Observatory, representatives of the USC Observatories and representatives from Santander Universities.
5. Assessment of the projects
Entries will be assessed according to the following criteria:
- Level of impact and improvement for the university community in which th eproject was developed.
- Innovation of the project within the country of that university.
The winning university and project will be announced at the V University Smart Card International Congress, to be held on March 30rd and 31th 2017.
If no entries are received, the awards will be declared to be null.
The winner project will be exhibited by the universities presenting them during the V University Smart Card International Congress.
The competition organizers will notify the authors of the 3 short-listed projects at the contact details provided in the registration form.
8. Intellectual and industrial property rights. Data protection policy.
Participants authorize the University of Murcia, the USC International Observatory and Banco Santander to publish information about the projects entered on their websites and in their documents should they deem this appropriate.
Participants accept that their personal data and data relating to the projects presented are of a compulsory nature and will be stored in the corresponding files of the University of Murcia , which is authorized to mange these as necessary for their use regarding the GoldTUI Award. This authorization is directly related to the establishment and maintenance of the contractual agreement arising from participation in the competition, and is a necessary condition for participation in the same, to its running, to the correct award of the prizes and the correct management of the rights ceded by the entrants as specified in the conditions of entry. The proprietors of the data are informed of their right to oppose, to access, to rectify and to cancel their personal data under the terms envisaged by the Spanish Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, for the Protection of Data of Personal Nature. Such rights can be exercised at any time by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to the University of Murcia, Observatorio Internacional TUI, Edificio ATICA, Campus de Espinardo, 30100 Murcia, Spain.
9. Interpretation and Modification of Conditions
The USC International Observatory of the University of Murcia reserves the right to interpret and modify the conditions of the Competition at any time, or even to cancel or declare the same null and void if there are justified causes for so doing. In any case, the Observatory undertakes to inform competitors of any modifications to the conditions or, if pertinent, of the cancellation of the Competition through its website "www.observatoriotui.com/goldtui".
